Rick Kilbourne

Rick has been in the renewable energy industry for 17 years, starting in an origination role and executing his fist PPA in 2008.  Prior to joining SolarStone, he was the US Director of Community Solar origination and project development for Trina Solar. Prior to that, the majority of his career was spent in the IPP space with Constellation Energy, where he built several different teams to spearhead new business development ventures that led to over 500MW’s of pipeline. When that business was acquired by Brookfield Renewable, Rick’s focus was on both origination and portfolio acquisition.  During Rick’s career, he has developed CSG and DG projects from lease signing to project sale in numerous markets throughout the US. In addition, he has significant exposure to the M&A world while building a team to help manage a +300MW pipeline over 50+ projects at a time.

As the head of the CSG group, Rick joins SolarStone at a pivotal moment in the company’s continued growth. He will play a critical role in applying his experience to help continue to drive growth across the CSG business. He will focus on both strategic acquisition of land development in our existing and future markets, as well as supporting permitting efforts. Rick’s experience will help SolarStone build on and expand our strategic growth plans for both the near and long term, and will help manage the team’s growth to meet the needs of the next wave of CSG markets that open up.
