Derek Hasek

Derek Brings over 12 years of renewable energy industry experience within the C&I and Utility sectors and at SolarStone is currently focused on leading project development, new market research and entry, and overall project delivery efforts to drive company growth. Derek recently oversaw development efforts across PJM, ISO-NE, MISO and ERCOT at Strata Clean Energy that grew the pipeline by over 2 GWs and monetized over 200 MW of assets. Previous to that he led development efforts for National Grid Renewables across PJM and NYISO that lead to +4GW pipeline growth, successful execution of over 1 GW of PPA’s on assets under his leadership that are currently under construction, and led the development and portfolio sale of 1 GW of NYISO projects to AES (formerly sPower). Additionally, Derek helped found Target Corporation’s rooftop solar program that contracted to install project on +400 store and distribution centers before joining Greenskies Renewable Energy to lead new market development and Fortune 500 client relationships. Derek graduated from Vermont Law School with joint JD and Master’s of Environmental Law and Policy and is a licensed MN attorney.
