Scott Schulz
Chief Financial Officer
Scott Schulz graduated with a B.A. in Accounting from the University of Northern Iowa. Scott started his career with Coopers & Lybrand, a then “Big 8” international accounting firm. Over his four years with C&L, Scott rose to become an audit supervisor and was assigned audits of high-profile, publicly-held clients for the Minneapolis, Minnesota office. He has maintained his active certified public accountant license throughout his career.
Since leaving public accounting, Scott has held senior financial management positions in several organizations, including Chief Financial Officer of General Electric’s Security & Life Safety Group. He was recruited away to play a multi-faceted role within a sports-related start-up. His experience with mergers and acquisitions, as well as his abilities to transform financial operations in fast growing business, made him an obvious choice for a Chief Financial Officer role in a newly acquired subsidiary of a Tokyo Stock Exchange listed company. Over a 16 year career, he was promoted to expanded roles where he managed a leadership team covering all aspects of company operations. Scott spent seven years serving on the company’s board of directors.
His 30-year professional and personal relationship with Kaya Tarhan made transitioning into development services an easy choice. Scott started with the company in May 2023.
